HOW IT WORKS

Search used to be about being found. Now it is about being included.

For fifteen years the goal was page one. Marketers wrote blogs stuffed with keywords, paid for sponsorships on articles, and tracked hundreds of search terms, all for one thing: ranking on page one of a Google search.

ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews do not give you ten blue links. They give one answer.

Your brand is either in that answer or it is not.

This is a new problem, and the old SEO tactics are not enough to solve it.

Asking AI is not the same as typing keywords into a search engine

Traditional search retrieves individual pages. Google crawls a page, indexes it, and returns it when someone types a matching query. Brands win by being findable at the moment of the search, with the right keywords on the right pages.

An AI answer is assembled. The model pulls from what it learned in training and from live sources it fetches while answering, then writes one response out of dozens of inputs. In that moment it decides whose brand name to attach to it.

Nothing about that rewards keyword density. The model is not counting words. It is deciding who is worth crediting.

What actually earns a recommendation

Be the obvious answer to one thing at a time

AI models cite sources they read as authoritative, and that authority is not backlink count. It is how consistently your brand turns up in serious discussions of a specific subject.

Pick a narrow topic. Publish the resource people actually reference. Do that long enough and you become the name attached to the idea.

The hard part is knowing which question to pick. That is most of what we do.

Write claims a model can lift

Vague copy gets absorbed into the answer without credit. Specific, verifiable statements get quoted.

So cut the branding fluff and give real answers to the questions your customers are actually asking.

Structure helps more than you would expect. Clear questions with clear answers, short lists, and plain tables map closely to how a model breaks content apart when it assembles a response. A good FAQ page is this in action.

Be useful without the click

Old SEO could get away with a headline that withheld the answer, because you only needed the click. That is where clickbait came from.

It does not work anymore. AI answers do not send traffic unless someone asks for a source, so the value has to sit in the part that gets read, and your name has to be attached to the part worth repeating.

Stay consistent

Models train on older data and also pull from fresh pages. Your brand needs to look like the same brand in both.

Rebrands without redirects, inconsistent naming, and long publishing gaps all create ambiguity. When a model is not sure which version of you is current, it tends to cite someone it is sure about.

Your current tools cannot see any of this

Search Console will not tell you that Claude recommended a competitor to everyone who asked about your category last week. Rank trackers cannot measure a position in an answer that has no positions.

You are working with instruments built for a system that is no longer the only one that matters.

Nobody can automate a relationship

When AI decides who to recommend, it reads the whole web to see what it knows about the topic. Other companies, review sites, community threads like Reddit, local press, LinkedIn. Your own pages matter, and so does everywhere else.

So publishing more pages on your own site, by itself, cannot get you there. That is why the tools built on autopilot do not offer this. Not because they forgot. Because an autopilot cannot email an editor.

We tell you which sites to talk to and why. We draft the outreach for each one, ready to send. You review it, you send it, and your name is on it.

That is exactly the point.

Where OmniCite comes in

We run the questions your customers actually ask across all four platforms and record what comes back. Who gets named, who gets linked, and where your name should have appeared and did not.

Then we tell you what to publish to close the gap, write it for you, and show you exactly where to put it.

Find the gap. Write the thing. Get it live.
