What we collect on omnicite.ai, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Last updated: 2026-08-24

OmniCite is operated by Omnicite Inc., based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This policy explains what we collect on omnicite.ai, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

This policy covers this website. Our application at app.omnicite.ai is covered separately.

We have tried to write this in plain language. If anything here is unclear, email us at contact@omnicite.ai and we will explain it.

What we collect

When you fill in the onboarding form

We collect your name, work email address, brand name, and brand website URL. You can also optionally tell us your industry and a short description of what you are trying to solve. You give us all of this directly. We do not collect it any other way.

When you use the AI crawler checker

We receive the website address you enter so we can check whether AI crawlers are permitted to read it. We use it to run the check and show you the result.

Technical information

Like most websites, our hosting and content delivery providers automatically receive standard request information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. This is used to serve the site and protect it from abuse.

We do not currently run advertising trackers or analytics on this site. If that changes, we will update this policy and say so clearly.

Why we collect it

We use what you give us to respond to you, to set up your account if you choose to onboard, and to understand who is interested in the product so we can build it better.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to build profiles for anyone else.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of third party services to run this site. Each receives only what it needs to do its job, and each has its own privacy policy.

  • +Basin processes our onboarding form submissions and delivers them to us by email.
  • +Calendly handles call bookings, if you choose to book one.
  • +Cloudflare provides content delivery and security for the site.
  • +Emergent hosts the site.

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, for example in response to a valid legal request.

How long we keep it

We keep onboarding form submissions for as long as we are in contact with you about the product, and for a reasonable period afterward for our own records. If you ask us to delete your information, we will.

Your rights

Under Canadian privacy law you can ask us to:

  • +tell you what personal information we hold about you
  • +correct anything that is wrong
  • +delete your information
  • +withdraw your consent to us contacting you

Email contact@omnicite.ai and we will action it. We will respond within 30 days.

Security

We use reputable third party providers and standard security practices to protect what you give us. No system is perfectly secure and we will not pretend otherwise. If we ever have a breach that affects you, we will tell you.

Children

OmniCite is a business tool. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so on the site.
